With article marketing, you can get backlinks to your website, you can build your reputation as an expert and you can presell your customers before they get to your website. There are many article directories out there. Articles get more traffic to your website through two ways. One is by boosting the ranking of your main website through search engine optimization and the other is through organic traffic as people read your article and click on your links.

2. Get involved in forums

   You should become active in forums related to your niche. They are a great way to build your reputation and you can generally advertise links in the signature of your forum posts.  Just be sure than your post contributes something useful and not just one or two words.  You will see people posting totally useless comments just to get a link back to their site.  Don’t be one of them.

3. Post comments on blogs

   Posting comments to blogs related to your product is another great free opportunity for you to advertise your product or website through posting comments in blogs that are related to your niche. As long as you make the comment relevant and informative, you should get a backlink to your website which should lead to more traffic.
